Dementia Care Facility - 3rd year university project

Our proposal for this dementia care facility is to appeal to people of all ages from all walks of life through a space inspired by flavour. Each flavour is linked to a different atmosphere and type of activity, providing clear zones throughout the facility.

The designer drivers we implemented are to create a home-like atmosphere; provide successful wayfinding and temporal cues; support aging demographic’s physical and mental constraints; control stimuli; infection control; provide a secure perimeter; and to provide independence for residents.
